To be specific, its technological development is mainly six directions as following: the first, FEC and IC packaging miniaturization: density is less than a space of 200mm; the second, correspond to various high-speed transmission interfaces, connector must be matched with high bandwidth and high-speed circuit, realizing high speed; the third, make sure reliability and stability of peak current mode, making full use of cooling air and providing more excellent long-term stability; the fourth, response to the trend of electronics environmental protection, lead-free, halogen-free and nanometer environmental protection materials will be widely adopted; the fifth, as to processing, standardized assembly will become increasingly common; the sixth, more new IC design electronic automation tools will be adopted, greatly speeding up the design quantity and direction of future connector.

Take the application of 3C field (laptop, cell phone, etc.) for example, because of the miniaturization, intelligentization, high speed, wireless and environmental protection of 3C products, the connectors applied in the above products also gradually develop out miniaturization technology, wireless transmission technology, high frequency high-speed transmission technology, environmental protection technology, etc., to be specific: the first, miniaturization technology requires smaller PIN space (center space of connector terminal), lower height; the second, high-frequency high speed transmission technology means it can transmit higher bandwidth and has good electromagnetic compatible and shielding technology, which can effectively solve electronic equipment signal transmission interference issue, simultaneously transmit uncompressed high-resolution video, multi-channel voice data and related control signal, and satisfy people’s pursue of HD video and HD audio; the third, wireless transmission technology can realize wireless signal sending & receiving function and satisfy the demand of people for mobility; the fourth, environmental protection, with continuous enhancement of recognition degree to environmental protection, environmental protection requirements in electronic products and production process become stricter and stricter, therefore, management and control ability to harmful substance in environment also become higher requirement to connector manufacturer.
